Dan Nguyen - Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon

I had a dense cataract in my right eye and a smaller cataract in my left eye and the thought of having eye surgery did give some concerns but I only have praise for Mr Nguyen, From the initial consultation he showed true professionalism and was happy to answer any questions I had. The cataract surgery is painless and restored vision in my right eye the same day which was truly amazing and the follow up review results showed the surgery has restored 20;20 vision in that eye. I have now had the cataract operation on my left eye which has once again fully restored vision in that eye.. If like me the thought of cataract eye surgery does give you concerns I can without hesitation recommend contacting Mr Nguyen.

Have had cataracts removed from both eyes since November . I found the whole procedure quite painless .The staff were very informative at each stage . Mr Nguyen was excellent and professional throughout .

I can highly recommend Mr Nguyen , having just had a bilateral cateract surgery procedure . He is patient, knowledgeable, listens to what you wish to achieve through surgery, while pointing out any potential problems given the condition of your eyes. I have faith in in his advice and expertise. Once again I would highly recommend Mr Nguyen to anyone. I regard my whole experience a success.

Incredible! No more glasses for me! I did a lot of research into getting lens replacement and so glad that I went ahead. I used to have wonderful eyesight but with age, I had to rely glasses. I have gone from the frustration of glasses for this, and different strength for that to... none! I can read easily (even small print on food packets etc.), watch TV and even threaded a needle with no glasses at all! This has been life changing and the team at The Spire were brilliant too. Thank you.

Having been apprehensive about having to have cataract surgery, wondering what the outcome would be like, I neednt have been at all concerned. With the help and guidance from Mr Nguyen, I had a multi-focal lens fitted in one eye and an accommodating lens fitted in the other, the result being 20 20 vision without the need to wear glasses at all. The procedure itself was completely painless and was over in a relatively few short minutes. Mr Nguyen explained the whole process very clearly in a very professional but personal manner, and was re-assuring throughout. His team of colleagues, from the start to finish, were also very supportive, sympathetic and re-assuring. For anyone with any fears or worries about having the surgery, I can only say that after contacting Mr Nguyen, there will be no need for concern or hesitation, but instead a positive anticipation of what could be a life changing experience.
