The Rhallt Care Home

Sadly for my mother, this was completely the wrong placement . My mother had brain damage from a stroke, no dementia but placed on a very busy Emi unit, which I challenged from the very beginning. She needed so much more care about being a bed ridden stroke victim who needed constant help , but sadly, the unit was far too busy to give my mother care she truly needed . Sadly, money talks , I have to say my mother's 14 months were hell on the unit she was truly aware of her surroundings and sadly some members of staff in the Rhallt were control freaks and made her life worse than what it was and believe me it was hell . I raised official complaints, which management chose to ignore . I have gone through every step of raising a formal complaint to the Lovette Care Company and other authorities, and after 12 months of trying for health reasons, i have decided to draw a line under it . My mother was let down by the system and the care home , I pray I never end up in a nursing home . My mum didn't deserve to be neglected by certain staff members, shouted at for asking for help . On the day she died, she asked begged for help, and the response from management was 'What do you want me to do? Shall we call the paramedics ' A certain nurse had such a vendetta with my mother she accused my mother of being a alcoholic and being aggressive that they had to enter my mother's room paired up , this was absolutely pathetic and never happened , the nurse was on a control mission and lost her battle with my mother so made her suffer anyway she could , i only pray you need care and suffer from a evil nurse like your self you shouldn't wear the uniform. A night carer was also awful, but since she has left, thank god for the residents. Having said this, my mother had some truly caring, beautiful staff members who I am so grateful to I thank you, and you know who you are .

Fabulous home. The staff could not be more caring - nothing is too much trouble for them. Excellent activities program. Food good. Building / gardens very pleasant. They are taking such good care of my Mum and she is treated with respect and kindness.

Having been on work experience here for a week I have seen how great the staff are with residence and how much everyone enjoys themselves. It has been a lovely time having been welcomed by everyone who works here!

*CAROLINE FARR* I absolutely loved meeting all the lovely ladies today, they were all so happy to have their hair done and all the staff made me feel so welcome, so glad to be their hairdresser!
