Really grumpy staff member . Hearing her say she was struggling with basic math today is really a bit worrying. Long wait . Not a good service but at least we have a post office .

Updated- to show photo opening hours over Christmas. Hope it helps as Google was showing wrong hours the other day. I have been to the post office a few times in it's new home in the hub and have found each visit to be a pleasant experience. The last time I visited there was someone training, and as always happens while you have someone watching you, something went wrong. That being said they were both very polite and apologetic about the tiny delay to me. I had started going to a different post office as I found the old post office counter in the shop to be closed when it shouldn't be and I frequently missed them when I tried to pop in just before closing, I know it may have been quiet some days but when you advertise that your open until a certain time then you should honour it. I will not be a frequent visitor to the hub.

Just an aside: if Roger Bone posted his review 10 months ago, the Post Office was tucked away in a little shop in Bridge St, Usk, rather than in the local Library in Maryport Street where it has been since April 2019. Very helpful and friendly staff (so far only one staff member!) - but often very busy and with long queues. A frustrating experience for HSBC customers wanting to do personal or business banking as they never seem to have a stock of HSBC/First Direct/M&S deposit envelopes - despite their making regular requests for them.
