Talog Country Retreat

We recently stayed at Talog - shooting star and we were extremely impressed with the service and communication by the owners. The location is stunning and very relaxing. You can tell that a great deal of thought and care has gone into the interior design of the property with furniture that is beautifully modern. The location is extremely rural which means you will need a car to explore however the owners couldn't have been more helpful when arranging a takeaway on our first evening. The hot tub is an added bonus and is another example of no expense being spared on the luxuries at this property. The bedrooms and bedding were superb and extremely comfortable. It truly is a home from home and a location I would wholeheartedly recommend.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Talog Country Retreat. We stayed at Starlight cottage for 4 nights and it was absolutely perfect! The cottage provides everything you need and is cleaned to a very high standard. The beds are absolutely huge and so comfortable and lovely fluffy towels are also provided. We loved bubbling away in the jacuzzi hot tub whilst watching the sunset over the rolling hills. The hot tub also lights up and changes colour so it is so pretty at night time. In the morning we sat out on the terrace eating our breakfast whilst hearing the trickling water of the beautiful fish pond which is just outside the cottage. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful relaxing retreat and we will definitely be returning in the future. The cottages are so spacious and starlight cottage was perfect for my disabled mum as it had a bedroom downstairs and a huge bathroom where she could get around easily with her walking aid. Arasen and Yovanah are such lovely kind people and were so helpful from start to finish. Thank you so much

Incredible set up here. Host was superb & went out of his way to ensure we knew everything we needed (without being intrusive). The setting is stunning, surrounded by fields and woodlands and looking straight down a valley from the hot tub area. Big, flat screen smart TV to enjoy films (or in our case the rugby being shown on Amazon). The furnishings, fixings and facilities in the accommodation had clearly been purchased with quality in mind. No corners cut and everything top of the range. An amazing, dog friendly spot to get away from it all, kick back and chill. Highly recommend!

Thank you to Arasen and Yovanah for making our stay at the Starlight Lodge absolutely perfect. Where do we start? From driving on to the premises I was greeted by a smiley, chatty lady whos Yovanah who took us to the starlight lodge. She helpfully guided us around the rooms, kitchen, bathroom, heating area and especially most importantly the hot tub area. Through the two day stay we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings with singing birds. Its such a beautiful place to switch off and forget about the outside world. Arasen was spectacular with daily check-in and making sure our stay was what we expected and nothing is too much trouble for him to help. The living room, bedroom, kitchen and toilet area was to the highest quality, beautifully decorated and the cleanliness was to the top notch standards. The hot tub - what an absolute dream, the views were breathtaking and picturesque. Stunning facilities and a stunning stay. Cant wait to return to this bliss setting, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cosy lodge stay!
