Holy Trinity Church is situated along the B5428 some couple of hundred yards off the A525 Denbigh/Rhyl Road in Trefnant. The building was locked on a Tuesday weekday when I last called by, probably a consequence of the restrictive times we live in. The church is unusual among St Asaph's Diocesan inventory. The church was built in the 1850's, financed by Charles Salesbury Mainwaring, to commemorate John Lloyd Salusbury. By contrast, the churches throughout the Vale of Clwyd are evolutions of 5th and 6th century origins. Holy Trinity Church is well kept and deserves a visit in a village that is one so tempting to drive through without thought of investigation.
