Neil is a brilliant photographer, a fantastic teacher and great company. I can certainly recommend spending a day with him in the great outdoors, what ever the weather. An opportunity not to missed.

My girlfriend and I spent a day with Neil in the Brecon Beacons. We are both novices when it comes to photography and wanted to learn the basics, whilst taking photos. Neil is a fantastic teacher, who helped us understand the fundamentals of how to composes a photo. Then moving on and explaining the exposure triangle. By the end of the day we were both off of 'green mode' (full auto mode) and using the manual settings. Neil explained everything really well, with great enthusiasm. He also has a lot of knowledge regarding the Brecon Beacons and took us to some amazing locations. I would highly recommend his services and look forward booking another course with him in the future.

I had an incredible day out with Neil 1:1 in the Brecon Beacons in September. He listened carefully to what I wanted to get out of the day and worked out a game plan for the day. My preference was to focus on the more artistic side of the game as I already had a good understanding of the basics (mainly the exposure triangle and how to drive my camera). We spent a full day visiting various different sites, with Neil encouraging and challenging me to find the shot at each one. At each site we then spent time reviewing the photos I'd taken to better understand what was working well and what wasn't. Neil is a natural teacher and good fun to spend the day with. I learnt far more in the space of a day than I have in years of buying the latest gadget or new lens. After the day Neil followed up with an extensive set of observations on my style and technique and listed some key areas for me to continue working on. I intend to book another day out with him next year, hopefully by which time I'll have had a chance to put some of his tips in to practice.

I went on a one to one day's tuition with Neil, he is so knowledge of when is the best time to visit the various beautiful landscapes of the Brecon National Park to get the maximum out of the light . Neil is very patient in explaining the concepts and the technical aspects of photography. I learnt so much more about composition, how to get the best out of my camera features and most importantly to take my time on where is the best angle for the shot ensuring I am maximizing the natural light and that it takes a few attempts by making small changes to your camera settings to get the perfect picture that you want. Thank you!

My wife and I recently spent a 1/2 day with Neil traveling around the Brecon Beacons. I am a part-time photographer and I never would have been able to get to all of the locations in one afternoon, when the light was in the right place. Neil took great care to plan our time accordingly. Neil is also a wealth of knowledge about the area and had some nice conversations with my wife while I was off shooting. We both greatly enjoyed our afternoon!
