        We had lunch here today. The staff were very pleasant, service was good. Unfortunately the food was not. There was a generous serving of nicely cooked beef, and the red cabbage and swede mash were nice but the roast potatoes were undercooked, the carrots were tasteless, the huge Yorkshire pudding was tough and doughy, stuffing overcooked, all served in a greasy puddle of something that was supposed to be gravy. The cheesy leeks were served on the side in a runny sauce. It seems like it was all put together by an inexperienced cook. Very disappointing

        We went in to get out of thr cold. Had a hot drink each and my son had some toast and jam. We really enjoyed it. Kid-friendliness: They made our son feel very welcome
