Review for Waldo apartment on upper floors. Maybe the lower flats in the Hafod y Mor building fare better. TLDR: Avoid like the plague. The smell of cigarette smoke and more fragrant cigarettes is immediate on entry into the shabby, untidy, communal entry hall. After which, the (many) flights of wide, then very narrow, sloping stairs await. The decor and condition throughout is decades in need of repair. Peeling and chipped paintwork, cracks in the walls, and ceilings showing bare plaster in various unconventional areas throughout. The bathrooms are only partially functional with blocked sinks (by unmovable integrated plugs) and broken showers in need of a thorough clean. Plumbing makes upstairs showering and bathing impossible if a tap on the lower floor is used, making spending time far from a relaxing escape from the rest of the houses horrors. Much of the communal areas lights are controlled by sensors, making moving around at night unpleasant for movers and sleepers alike. Not being able to choose to light an area, or not, is an unnecessary pain. Beds were uncomfortable and partly soiled, one was (not successfully) held together with a piece of protruding angle iron. An accident waiting to happen. Most furniture is tired, partially broken, missing handles, etc, and in need of repair or replacing. The roller blinds in one room could only be operated by hand and not the pulley. The brooding seagulls immediately outside the upper bedrooms were mostly mercifully quiet, but would have to be braved in the event of a fire The fire alarm did not appear to work on our visit, which is worrying. The kitchen is a shambles on so many levels it would be comical but for the fact that its on you. There are not enough cups for example, for the number of beds, so you must constantly wash up. There were three cracked glasses on arrival that would have been easy to dispose of. Various kitchen utensils were dotted around the kitchen, covered in old grease and dust. The cupboards must have been fitted by someone without access to a spirit level, or all the parts. The bins had no liner in them but are also so close to the sink that they obstruct washing up and make keeping hygiene. We requested a high chair for a baby. The provided chair was knee high. The living area in the lounge/kitchen is soiled. Rug grippers protrude from their hiding place. Peanuts and other previous visitors snacks await next to and underneath the sofa (one of our children is allergic to peanuts). There was no vacuum cleaner or cloths to remedy the mess. Subsidence or some other issue makes all the floors drunk. Which is the best state I can recommend you experience this property in. I wish I could get back the week of my life spent in this miserable excuse for a holiday home. I would sincerely rather have spent the time at work. Tenby is a picturesque little town with lots to offer. This building is not worthy of its location, which is its best feature, being close to the beach and the high street.

Flat 3 Hafod y mor is very very poor. Not cleaned properly (sand found under a pillow and old peanuts under the sofa). There was black mould in the shower. A hole in the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom, beds were semi broken, stained sheets, shower lever missing. Do not stay here. Hardly deserves 1 star let alone 3. Given 1 for the location.
