We stayed 2 nights at this Country Inn located just outside the village of Pen Y Cae. It is next to a main road but we were not aware of any road noise. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The bar was cosy with a great selection of local beers and the food was good. Nils, Emma and their hard working team make the place. It is busy at weekends so best to book if you are eating there. If you are looking for a comfortable Inn, in a great location for exploring the Brecon Beacons look no further!

Lovely meal although bit expensive. Desserts portion small, very small. Tasty but not worth 7. Food & drinks: See above food comments.

We had two meals whilst staying at the campsite behind the pub. Service is excellent, the waitresses on both days were very good at answering our questions and paying close attention to detail when serving us. Food was decent. The pate and soup starters were very nice. Roast dinner on Sunday was tasty, fresh and a good portion size. Great place to stop whilst visiting the Brecon beacons.
