Five stars for the immaculate gardens alone! We stayed in this lovely 5 bed house as a base to explore Snowdonia National Park, we were a group of nine. A big lounge with a real fire, three places to eat inlcuding a big conservatory with a proper roof and a smaller breakfast space in the kitchen, also featuring an excellent range stove. As for the bedrooms there are 3 doubles and 2 twins, the downstairs bedroom (a double) doesn't have an on suite but there is a downstairs bathroom across the hall. You could park maybe 12-15 cars on the drive. Some excellent local walks and the sunset view from the local beach is outstanding.

Just spent a great week with our family in this lovely house with sea view from the back garden. We were a party of 7 and the spacious accommodation met all our needs. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Ideally located for exploring the area and Bennar beach was so handy just round the corner and down the Lane, cobbles to start but then a vast expanse of beach to take you down to the sea. Barmouth is a busy town with a fabulous sandy beach. The whole family enjoyed our time at Llwyn Derw Holiday Cottage. Nothing was too much trouble for Marian the owner. Would certainly recommend

This house is simply beautiful. The rooms are really spacious, it has gorgeous gardens and is in a great location with a lovely little beach called Benar Beach. Would HIGHLY recommend. And not to mention the host, Marian, is very friendly and easily-contactable should you have any problems. It was really reassuring to know that she was just a phone call away and was happy to help with anything.

We've just returned from a wonderful week at Llwyn Derw. There were 9 of us in our party and we really enjoyed staying at this large house with so many facilities, a beautiful garden and situated in the perfect location for exploring this glorious part of West Wales. Days out locally included - paddleboarding in Barmouth harbour, a trip to Portmeirion Italianate village, the climb to Dinas Oleu above Barmouth for stunning views across the bay and also Mawddach estuary, walking at Coed y Brenin forest near Dolgellau, and wandering down the local lane to Benar beach to watch the sun set over the Llyn Peninsula. So many memories! Thanks Marian
