---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- International Students be cautious / Faites attention! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is not a hotel, at least not these days. Its apartments and mostly international students, many of us just want to get off campus and the location is great, its expensive but has more space than normal uni flat BUT it is no where near the standard you get on campus. Be Cautious! example; Security is basically non existent as someone can get the code to the master box with the master key and enter your apartment, the professional cleaning staff NOT! Only ONE washing machine for the whole building, Mail is a mess! letters coming for people who have left are just put there in the open for anyone to help themselves to identity theft, Wrong appliances and electrical work so we had cooker with 4 plates but only 2 work! Repairs took ages to fix compared to campus housing Final point about being cautious, is the deposit. On campus housing its very clear what is required and if there is a gray area the university will work with you (we are valued international students) but here some of us found our deposits reduced for nonsense. So if you are international student looking for apartment be cautious, have your guard up when you view, really check the fixture and fittings so you dont get charged for a previous tenants damage, ask many questions and go with a friend. BTW it is not as bad as other parts of the country, where some landlords are so greedy they charge international students for bills from previous tenant!
