Most recently we stayed as a large group in The Keeper's Cottage and Barn Owl Lodge. The two properties can interlink and they are absolutely perfect for a large group (be it all adults, or family groups with kids). The location (which is easily found thanks to the excellent instructions provided by the owners) is beautiful and secluded, surrounded by woodland and stunning views - so there are no concerns about noise or disturbing other properties.
The charm of this place is that it is family-run and the owners and staff are so helpful and welcoming. The welcome pack with Welsh goodies - and even a Mr Men/ Little Miss book for the kids - is such a lovely touch. The digital guidebook is a great idea and provides all the information you need - and if you want any more tips on places to visit then the knowledgeable and friendly owners/ staff are full of ideas.
There were so many places to explore within a short drive. The Gower Peninsula and its stunningly beautiful beaches is a particular bonus for staying here, as well as lots of great walking and the Swansea neighbourhood of Mumbles (full of independent shops and boutiques, and home to arguably the world's best ice cream!) just down the road.
The kids were in heaven - big garden and woods to play in, lots of places for hide and seek, and trips to the main farm for horse-riding and visiting the animals.
Highly recommend The Keeper's Cottage and Barn Owl Lodge for large groups. We will be back!
