Simply when faced with thieves it didn't keep my post secure. To begin with they carried out a fishing attack. I was sold a fix for what was a known design flaw. Then they simply levered it open from the communal area.

These letterboxes were fitted on a small new build block of flats which was constructed to a very poor standard by Countryside Properties (but that's another story....). After only 2 years unfortunately the coating had started peeling off. The boxes are exposed to the brunt of the weather too, and the flaps tend to flap around and make a racket in the wind. I approached Countryside Customer Services, who didn't bother responding, and also the block management company HML, who advised there was no warranty cover for this and suggested getting quotes for a new mailbox. I thought I would try reaching out to the manufacturer, and I've got to say they couldn't have been more helpful - they suggested from the photos there was a possible manufacturing fault in the baking process causing the coating to come off. They have manufactured replacement flaps - weighted this time to keep them secure in bad weather. Big thank you to Stacey Franklin at The Safety Letterbox Company for sorting this out for me. So refreshing these days to experience customer service like this - particularly as (strictly speaking) there was no guarantee for this and they could have easily done nothing. Will update this review once received and fitted by local HML contractor.
