Only open on CADW open doors days in September, but absolutely worth saving the date! This is a world class industrial heritage site which is large in size and has a rich and fascinating history - including many technogical firsts. It is conserved by passionate and committed volunteers who are themselves a treasure and a first class knowledge bank.

It felt so spiritual there. So much history tied to the place. So scenic and pretty. Lots of paths leading to it on Longford road. Didn't take long to find somewhere to park and it was so worth it. I will be returning here.
