Please do not leave your cat here! Terrible experience. The place stinks and the photos on the website do not give a true picture of the place. Extremely rude owner who refused to allow me to collect my cat early despite the website stating they are open 24 hours a day. Would have given 0 if had the option.

I can't recommend this place dealing with them was a nightmare. Could not get my cat home on the next day. Chris from the cat retreat went on holiday with his family and left the owners cats with a boy and wher not fed. Do not leave your cats or take them there.

Wanted to book our cat in here from previous reviews on their Facebook page. The place sounded and looked like a cats palace on the Facebook page and website, dont be fooled. These absolutely did not reflect what we encountered. I believe the review facility has now been removed from the Facebook page also. The place had a very strong odour of cat urine and the owner himself had an unkempt appearance about him, the place was very cluttered and there appeared to be a couple of very unhappy cats staying on our visit. Glad we visited before booking. We just didnt have a good feeling about this cattery and the owner appeared to be quite defensive about questions we asked. After visiting we decided not to pay a deposit and book our lovely cat here. Possibly an off day, but very much doubt this after speaking to others I know who have used The Cat Retreat in Glais.
