I used to love going to memo,s. After todays visit, im sorry to say that i will never set foot in there again. The food, was at best, less than average, but plienty of it. A small breakfast and fish and chips with 2 coffees was over 21, was more than i had expected to pay. And i was served a coffee that had a deffinate unpleasant taste to it. I returned the coffee and asked if i could have a coke instead. The waitress, then came to my table and said there was nothing wrong with the coffee and said that i could have a coke, but it would cost me 60 (she ment 1.60 but her english was not the best). When i suggested that they actually owed me 60p because the coke was cheaper than the coffee, she walked away. Then another woman bought the meal to the table and i again asked for a coke, as my coffee was awful. I was again told that it was ok, Presumbly she had tasted it? and offered it back to me, ignoring my complaint. Now. I dont know if again, something had been lost as english was obviously not her first language, but she again just walked away. Anyway. Thats my little rant over except to say that i am saddened that the staff there allowed a customer to walk away very dissatisfied and dissapointed with the food, coffee and service. It would have been ok, if i would have been offered an alternative to the drink they called coffee. So they lost this customer for in effect 60p. This took place at lunchtime on a weekday. Normally its packed at this time, it used to be very busy. Today there was 4 people in there, myself and my partner were 2 of them. WHITH SERVICE LIKE THIS , I WONDER WHY. Very rude couldn't even answer phone and when did said ok be soon driver left then hanged up forgot my items and phoned back over 15times and still no items will not be ordering and if I was you
