I spent a week in the Shepherds View hut with my wife and dog. The place was perfect. Very warm even during below zero temperatures. Has everything to make a comfortable stay and sitting in the hot tub on a clear evening with the sun setting and Red Kites flying around was an amazing sight. We paid extra to have some breakfast ingredients delivered which made for a nice treat. We were lucky and even had some jets fly over a couple of times. The site warden/maintenance guy from Ukraine was extremely helpful and friendly especially when our car wouldn't start one extremely cold morning.

I visited here in Jan 2022 and stayed in highland view. I had received emails from the company confirming my payment and my stay so I attended on my check in day assuming there was some one on site and there would be a check in process. This was not the case. On arrival the accommodation was locked and there was no one around. I tried calling the company but there was no answer. Eventually after speaking to some people there I was told I should have received an email containing the code for entry. This turned out to be in my junk mail, unfortunately I wasn't expecting it so I hadn't even thought to check. The accommodation was lovely, had everything we required and was clean. However, the hot tub was dirty and felt grimy when you were in there. The only other issue I had was there were no controls for the hot tub and it was luke warm. Considering it was January I would have needed it to be a bit warmer. It was like being in the bath but outside in freezing temperatures. Unfortunately this was enough to put me off going again. The area is absolutely lush though!
