What a little gem of a campsite! Myself and my hubby booked with our dog and VW campervan, we pitched in front of the little lake which was full of wildlife! Lynda the owner was brilliant, very helpful and friendly, she gave us lovely Welsh cakes and giant marshmallows on the evening to cook on our campfire. The toilets and showers were great, rooms with both toilet and shower together with loads of room! And lovely hot showers. There was even a doggy wash area outside. Lots of information posted on a board for places to go, eat etc. We couldn't fault this lovely little site, and will definitely be back again. We had a heater and kettle both travel ones and used them with no problems. Velvet & Kevin and Herbs the dog

Pros Lake view, 3.2 miles to tenby town centre, quiet location, clean and big shower blocks, welcome welsh cake, washing areas big, fridge free to use and clean Cons 1.Booked for electric grass pitch, very little grass on my pitch area, it's always wet/ damp ground even with full sunny days, its not getting dried by the sun. Top ground was like covered with sand. When my husband erected our porch awning, it's difficult to put the pegs, ground very rocky. 2. The tap water in the toilets are always cold. 3. The shower was hot, but way too hot , can't control the temperature, its setting too hot. 4. The electricity was very low, limited to 5amp. Always tripping everyday. You can't use your appliances all in one time, like heater or microwave 5. You need to pay for your rubbish, not included in the payments. They did not inform me when im booking,. The rules in paper was very vague. It's free for rubbish to throw if you segregate them properly, however since im not informed i didnt bring waste bags, i end up going to tenby town everyday to throw my rubbish.

Very boggy site. Appreciate it is around a lake, but even seemingly higher ground made it extraordinary to pitch a tent as there is almost no grip for a tent peg. We havent done much camping in this country and did stay at a wet time, but in all honesty I am not sure if the ground was suitable for a tent site. 5 to get rid of rubbish seemed a bit unfair to be honest and I feel ought to be included in the rate or mentioned on booking so we could have brought the appropriate sized black bin bag. Not sure why we paid 5 a night for our dog if there seemed to be no dog binif there waswe werent told about it. The electricity was fine for our stayI just think there is a limit to how boggy a site can be for tents to be pitched and if the weather was out of the ordinary we should have been contacted before travelling and could have changed our dates. Staff helpful and facilities clean and welsh cakes a nice touch. Hot water fine at sinks which was all we used.
