Have just returned home after a simply stunning weekend staying at Gileston Manor. We stayed in the Versailles room, out of this world, the attention to detail is outstanding and immaculate. Seeing the beautiful Manor house as we drove up the drive was breath taking, then the warm welcoming greeting we received when we arrived from all the staff and the charming owners were fantastic, so relaxed, warm and genuinely lovely people. Very much looking forward to staying here again.Em & Ian x

I almost don't want to tell people about this place. I want to keep it for myself and special occasions. My stay at Gileston Manon was the most comfortable I have had in ages. The hospitality, engaged thoughtful staff team and our hostess Lorraine was exceptional. The Georgian house and gardens are both elegant and on a human scale. The rooms all individually designed are a treat, and the beds and bathing so comfortable I felt spoilt for days afterwards. Thank you Gileston Manor. I will be returning! Don't tell your friends, try it for yourselves.

What a surprise to come across this beautiful house on the outskirts of St. Athan. Our guide Jack who doubles up his duties as the Head Gardener, provided a well informed tour of the gardens & grounds showing us some gorgeous old buildings that were part of original small village , these have been beautifully restored & turned into Airbnb .Walking of the Alpacas at the end of our tour was a lovely unexpected treat ! Overall a super setting for an overnight stay, special celebration or day out .

Went for open gardens. Although it was only April there was plenty of colour in the enormous amount of bulbs in flower. The cakes were amazing with a cup of tea. It was a grey day but no rain so my friends and I sat and chatted almost 2hrs whilst admiring the view accross tha Bristol Channel. Fabulous day. Thankyou to all concerned in making it such a pleasure.
