The Plough Inn

Visited with my family for a small celebration. Havent been to The Plough for a while, and it has definitely gone down hill and looks tired. Food quality was generally good, except for the desserts, which were very small, poor quality and expensive at 7.00. Main issue we had was the service, despite there being many staff around. It took ages for a server to take our drinks order, and after waiting a long time we had to leave our table to find someone to take our main food order, as was the case for our dessert course. Even though the restaurant was quiet, it seemed to us that the staff were too busy socialising with each other to bother about looking after our us. With a bill of over 100 for two adults and two kids, we left feeling disappointed. Shall not be returning any time soon until I hear that they have their act together.

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to complain directly, so I havr to go public. So cross with their customer service; my friend and I went in for a drink and catch up, sat and had a lovely time at a table with no reserved card. Then the guy came up and said 'sorry ladies, I need this table now, going to have to ask you to move'. We questioned it saying the table wasn't reserved, but he just kept saying he needed the table and they just hadn't had time to put the reserved card on. I can't believe we moved, but we did! But left us feeling so angry! I'm so cross I think we won't go back there - what awful customer service! Tried to comain to management but was unable to.
