The Piercefield

Used this great pub for a stop over with our motorhome ... warm and friendly meet n greet . Staff were perfect good selection of beers and we couldnt have asked for more . Will definately be back

We visited for Sunday lunch, there wasnt enough food provided, very small portions of everything. We requested more potatoes and stuffing but were told there wasnt enough and couldnt have any. Turkey was cooked quite nicely but only 2 thin slices of beef for beef dish. The veg was extremely undercooked, we notified staff but they didnt apologise or do anything, no one asked how the food was whilst clearing dishes. Bill came to 87.50 for 5 of us, so not cheap and overall quite disappointing. To add to my original review after the reply from the restaurant, I am shocked at the comments - very unprofessional. We didnt have any deserts, we had 5 soft drinks to go with the small roast dinners. I did complain about the veg which is detailed in my review above, but the staff did nothing and to add, when I say undercooked, I mean it was barely cooked at all. No one on the table could eat it and we actually like al dente vegetables. I would not visit again after the reply from the restaurant.
