Until about the late 1980's a third longstanding privately owned Chemist was located adjacent to Boots, and was eventually bought out by Boots. Today, Boots provides a well populated inventory of prescription medicines, together with a retail operation for healthcare and digital film processing. For those with places to go and things to do, this outlet supports an "order and collect" facility.
