Found this perfect beach in winter sunshine, a little off the beaten track with fabulous coastal walk.

Lovely scenery. Great value for money. Short steep walk down to the beach. no toilet or showers but self sufficient wouldn't be a problem. I can recommend this site.

A hidden treasure. Good for a quick visit. Located a few minutes drive away from the more popular Rhossili beach is Mewslade. Theres a long walk down from the car park which is uneven but fairly easy going until the final stretch. The final 60 feet / 20 metres is a rough, narrow crevice with a couple of smooth, slippery stretches. Some parts are best negotiated sitting down. However, there are a few things to see and admire along the path down; sharply defined rock formations that rise up on either side, the odd wildflower and stretches of impressive, bulky dry stone walling. The effort of getting there is rewarded by the beach itself which, though small, is an intimate space even with other people on it. The steep, rising cliffs add to the feel of the place. There are no facilities here at all so, if your planning to stay for more than an hour or two, come prepared and with food & drink. Remember that this has to be brought via the tricky path. Check the tides before travelling. Its a small enough beach when the tides is out. When its in theres barely any beach at all. Not far from the main road is a car park. Charges are reasonable and machines accept coins or payment via the PayByPhone app.
