Mum is resident at Crosfield House and her health has picked up tremendously under their treatment. Home is clean and the view is wonderful. The staff be they qualified nurses or carers are all dedicated to their work. Well done Crosfield.

My Mother was a Resident of Crosfield House recently, and whilst there experienced a generally poor level of Care, such that she was transferred to an Acute Ward at Hereford County Hospital, suffering from the effects of Dehydration and worsened sore places on her legs. Her were condition at this stage was very poor and serious. Whilst at Crosfield, only twice was Mum sat out in a bedside chair; the reason given for this was that it was her wish not to be out. Nearer the truth would be that her general condition had deteriorated to such an extent whilst at the Home that it was detrimental for Mum to sit out for any length of time. There was some delay in Mum seeing a Doctor, when clearly her condition warranted it. This does not reflect well on certain Members of the Team at the Home. We never saw a Residents' Menu whilst Mother was at Crosfields and the quality of the food available did not inspire us to feel that it would benefit Mum Nutritionally. Although some Nurses and Carers were diligent and caring, it has to be said that, overall, we as a Family had little confidence in the Care administered to our Mum. For a large Home-and notwithstanding the Report by CSSIW to the effect that Staffing levels appeared adequate, we beg to differ; typically, when leaving around 7pm, only one or two Staff were in evidence on the two floors of the Home. For 64 (currently) Residents, this is insufficient.
