Jason king, I suggest you stay in the city!!! If Tesco is key for your vacation that kinda says it all LOL. Welcome to the countryside, i personally love the fact there is no mobile reception, if you're looking for some peace and quiet to get away from it all, then this is the place. You can open the windows but it isn't advisable, especially at night with the light on, unless you're happy to share your room with a load of midge's. I had a room with a shower but was able to have a nice relaxing bath, after a long walk. Although I understand the bathroom is linked to one of the other guest rooms so depends on if booked or not. There is WiFi but being the countryside... It certainly isn't 5g but good enough to stream video. Elan valley is beautiful and Rhayader is only a short walk where there's plenty of pubs and a nice curry house but sorry no Tesco, MacDonald's or Costa coffee ha ha ha.
