Carini's Butchers Ltd

Appalling service, would have given it zero stars if I could. Placed my Christmas order at the end of November, went in to collect it on Christmas Eve and the man behind the counter denied knowledge of the order and was tersely told " you didn't place the order with me and they didn't have it" as if this was adequate. This was despite me coming into the shop and discussing an amendment to the order in December with him personally (which he couldn't deal with surprise surprise!). Given the taxpayer has propped up local businesses such as this with furlough in the pandemic and we are paying customers you thought they would make an effort. They didn't offer any substitute just a mumbled comment re bird flu. Laughable level of customer service, advise customers to take their business to a decent supermarket and let poor quality small businesses like this go bankrupt.

Proper 1st class butcher! lots of fab, excellent quality meats, gorgeous chipolata sausages. Attentive, polite service. Yet to try the homemade pies which will mean a return trip...can't wait

Very refreshing to receive kind and polite service. The Butcher was very polite and we brought sausage rolls, eggs, ham quiche and a scotch egg. The quiche was very tasty as was the scotch egg for our picnic. The eggs were also lovely and fresh. Would recommended. We ate the sausage rolls cold but think they may have been better warmed in the oven.

We visited during a stay in Presteigne. Such excellent and friendly service. The leg of lamb was succulent and their bacon so tasty! It must be great to have a butchers like this in your village
