The owner shared her expertise on the correct way to wash Welsh blankets ( avoiding sudden changes of temperature eg from a drained hot wash to a cold rinse - this is what causes felting).
She was also fascinating talking about the last few mills dealing with Welsh wool. Though this was concerning as their survival is threatened.
Welsh wool blankets old and new are both cherished and fashionable. So this seems all wrong.
The shop also has rugs and handknits and a small but beautiful selection of retro French ticking.
