We've been to Snowdon Lodge last October as a large young families group - we were in 7 families: 15 adults and 9 children around 5 years old. The children left the house crying saying they wanted to live there forever! Carl and Anja are amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful with all the details before our arrival or anytime we needed anything during our stay. The house was so clean which is quite impressive considering the size of it. The beds were lovely and as a group that loves cooking, that amazing professional kitchen was a dream come true and made our days so much easier! To top it all up, Snowdonia is just stunning! Highly recommended!!

Had 23 staying for my 50th birthday including 10 kids, it had a great combination of rooms to suit us all, most of us had an ensuite, there are 3 new rooms that are really nice and spacious with lovely bathrooms. Even the more basic rooms were fitted out nicely. The facilities were great, the kichen is well equipped for large groups. Never had to use the drying room fortunately but good to know it was there. Spent the day at Blackrock Sands and had a lesurely walk round the local forest path. Enjoyed a visit to one of the local pubs in Tremadog (Union Inn), great to have a pub, chippy and shop so close. Would love to come back some time for a longer stay, we would highly recommend

My walking group (Central London Outdoor Group) has stayed here twice and we'd definitely do so again. On this occasion, 14 of us stayed for a week; we had loads of space and it was very good value between us. The owners, Carl and Anja, and their labradors, Seren and Poppy, made us very welcome. Carl even lent one of our group some waterproof trousers as she had left hers behind. The hostel has been recently refurbished and extended. Carl and Anja have spent a lot of energy, time (and money) improving the hostel though with such an old building there is always more to do. The rooms do vary in size but are very clean. Most rooms are now ensuite though a few still have shared loos and showers. There were plenty of them and the water was always hot. The kitchen is very well-equipped and we also used the barbecue outside one evening. Extra facilities include a drying room which worked well on wet days and a games room with table football as well as pool tables. There's also a huge car park if you need it, a bus stop outside and it's only 15 minutes' walk from the station. We used Huw's Tacsis to take us to and from walks along the Snowdonia Slate Trail and would recommend them. 5 minutes walk away in the village is an excellent chippy and two pubs (we would recommend The Union Inn). There's also a small Spar shop in the village and a big Tesco 20 minutes' walk away in the town. All in all, we'd really recommend it.
