Take a wander down the taff trail its rich in heritage sites such as the viaduct that once went through biggest part of Wales. The structures still stand and are used still today, some have been modernised or updated with materials such as iron bridges, making the structures safe enough to cross over..... or safe ish rather. Besides the rich heritage structures we also have a very high population of wildlife such as butterflies that thrivein the long meadows that are alongside the river bed, in the river their are various different ducks and ducklings. Along with birds such as Cormak, a load of different species of herrings, the warbler(hope i spelt that correct) that visits the river in certain locations, not to mention the buzzards and kites that also live in some of the valleys, that the River Taf runs into/through. The wildlife is exclusive to the area, and is not really monitored or recorded in these wildlife surveys undertaken by RSPB on yearly basis, otherwise they would know that although some species of butterflies and birds are not seen in other areas that they do not thrive in these parts of the world. Its utter madness..... Come take a look at our wildlife her in the South Wales Valleys.

A beautiful trail for a walk or cycle, really long and takes in some beautiful scenery, and has a lovely transition from the city into the countryside
