Fantastic taster day with Jackie, her knowledge and expertise gave me confidence to use a long arm quilt for the first time. I would highly recomend The Stumpy Quilter, and will definitely be booking further sessions with Jackie.

What a fabulous day. We were taken through 4 patterns and then had a go at free motion quilting. Jackie provided a lovely lunch as well. Not as scary as I first thought it would be. Will certainly return to have a go on one of my own quilts.

Best day ever! What a perfect experience. I booked to quilt a top I had pieced for wedding gift. Looking online for a longarmer to finish my quilt I discovered the Stumpy Quilter. Not only would I get my top quilted but I could have the opportunity to do it myself, how exciting! I was always a bit nervous to try long arm machines at shows, they looked very complicated and a bit scary. Under Jackies guidance it was broken down into easy well explained stages and before you know it you are at the helm guiding Stumpy across your work like a pro. Not only did I get my quilt quilted 1. it cost less than paying someone to do it for me and I didnt have to send my precious work through the post. 2. I had the most wonderful day learning.the basics of long arming. 3. Jackie is a patient and knowledgeable teacher and very calming, you feel safe and very practiced by the time you get to stitch your precious quilt. 4. The workroom is easy to access and well lit with plenty of space to move around. Lots of fabulous examples of Jackies work hanging on the walls to inspire you. 5. You dont feel under any pressure, theres no clock watching. 6. An added bonus is loads of tea and coffee plus a fabulous lunch is included. Most importantly, I came away feeling very accomplished and so proud, that my quilt is completely my own work ( with a lot of help from Jackie ). I cant wait to return with my next quilt.

THREE GREAT SESSIONS TO DATE Five of us had a Long Arm Quilter Taster session with Jackie. What a superb day we truly all enjoyed ourselves. Enjoyed is such a credit to Jackie, the large machine was absolutely new to us all. But Jackie managed to help us all to to complete a pattern onto fabric using a pantograph. I booked a session to complete my own patchwork on this great Long Arm what a successful session . Jackie is very relaxing to be with and deceptively clever at making it all seems so easy. My first quilt on Long Arm followed by my second one a month later. Its difficult not to over praise Jackie, everything is in the detail. Loads of help with thread choices , pantograph pattern choices. So much input to my success. What a find. So happy with my quilts. Thanks Jackie See you soon Esther
