The images speak for themselves about not only my experience with Donkeys Of Wales but many, many others. Great at talking the talk but even better at selling animals that are not being looked after as they should be. Please do not rehome your donkey with them and certainly never buy from them. Selling under various names including Lynne, Holly and Zoie. The positive review left by the Luke person.... he's Zoie's boyfriend.

Visited in August 2020 and agreed to purchase 2 miniature donkey foals. She claimed they were BOTH pure miniature Mediterranean and that the filly would be registered with the MMDA, but the colt would be unregistered due to having an unregistered but pure dam. The colt was 1000 and the filly was 3500, a high price for even a pure MMDA foal but the kids fell in love with her. On collection both foals were underweight, terrified of people, and the colt had serious skin peeling off his muzzle because he had been left out in the summer to get sunburnt repeatedly. They were collected at dusk so unfortunately a lot of things were not noticed until they were home the next day in daylight. On looking at the passports both were on generic IMHPS passports (for any horse, pony, or donkey) and there was no suggestion of MMDA association. Both foals had faked dates of birth in these passports that did not match the months we were told they were born in when the deposit was placed. The colt in particular was weaned dangerously young and had to be put on supplements as he was incredibly malnourished. A vet has since confirmed that the filly is definitely NOT a pure miniature and at 6 months old she has already exceeded maximum miniature height. The vet has also confirmed that the colt is younger than the passport states and that the damage to his face is due to dangerous sun exposure when he was younger. Both foals are still very cautious of people, scared of noises, and clearly traumatised by whatever happened to them in their formative months with Zoie Burton. Ms Burton of 'Donkeys of Wales' refused to refund any money unless the donkeys were returned. This was not in the interests of their welfare and based on previous peoples' experiences (upon a little facebook digging - wish we'd checked before buying!) it was very clear that even if the donkeys WERE returned she would most likely not refund anyway! We are now having to go down the court route. We will not be the first people to have had to get a CCJ from Ms Burton. However, despite selling donkeys throughout the year for extortionate prices Ms Burton claims that she does not work and uses that as an excuse to not pay out against county court judgements! Luckily we had

Avoid, please note previous good review was posted by owners boyfriend!!!! Stolen images used online. If you look around you will find lots of horror stories including Shetland's being sold as 2 year old but was 20 year old with health conditions. Miniature donkeys advertised that were not miniatures. Stolen images of donkeys that are in America. Company has taken down all the negative yell.com reviews that have been left by people who have been scammed.
