Gellionnen Chapel has a long and rich history having been established in 1692 by "Protestant dissenters" as pronounced by a plaque on the building's exterior. The chapel is in a very isolated and quiet spot on the hill overlooking Swansea Bay. The numerous graves in the church yard is a testament to those who have worshipped here over the years and makes for interesting reading. Sadly the church is now a liberal cause which seems to have left the proclamation of the gospel and the worship of Jesus as the Son of God, the Way, the Truth, the Life, long behind it. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 ESV
