Located at the end of a private driveway, this is the perfect getaway location for anyone seeking a quiet and peaceful break away. The building itself is an interesting conversion of an old lodge built between 1794 and 1818 and now tastefully furnished. The location is handy for Dolgellau (being only a short ride away, or even walked to) and other nearby attractions such as the Precipice Walk, the Mawddach Trail, Barmouth and Fairbourne etc. The view from the front windows is truly spectacular and ever changing with different weather and cloud patterns - in fact, on a rainy and windy day, it would be a delight just to sit in the front room by the window with the log burner on and a good book (there is a sizable collection to hand if needed). Mobile phone coverage was good (EE) - a mast can be seen in the distant valley which is possibly multi operator, and in house wi-fi adequate for checking e-mails etc. All in all, thoroughly recommended. PS - in the unlikely event of any problems, phone Steve (whose number is in the guest book) - nothing is too much trouble for him.
