Newtown Post Office

I needed to send a letter special delivery. I went in with my husband and we were gobsmacked by the lack of manners of the staff. The cashier was interrupted by a male colleague who started an unfriendly conversation with her. They weren't very nice to each other and she wasn't very nice with us, she weighed the letter and said "That's 3.10" (no please or thank you) We had to stop ourselves from laughing because it was so surreal. Also, she was messing about with someone else's parcel as well as my letter so I was surprised to find that the letter reached it's destination. I suppose that's worth 2

Was going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and assume he was having a particularly bad day before reading the other reviews Was sold the incorrect special delivery envelope and went in with my receipt etc to get the correct one. The man refused to accept any liability, accusing me of falsifying the whole thing or the embassy of misplacing the correct envelope. Awful experience, Ive never anticipated Id have a guy having a go at me after them selling me the wrong envelope. Incredibly rude, wont return, nor will my family or friends.

Extremely rude postmaster for no reason.tried to be polite good morning how are you completely blanked wont use the post office at all due to this rude t**t.also hes wifes just as bad barking orders to people while in the queue.the postmen and women and also parcel collection round the back are really nice people

Very rude man who runs this post office. On 1st feb 23 I took some parcels in & was told my stamps expired the day before. I rang Royal Mail who explained theyd extended this to 31st July 23 so NO post office should refuse any stamps without the new barcodes before then. Ive been in once prior to this & found the staff ignorant on that occasion too so I will only use this post office when Im desperate or too busy to drive to an another one. With Zero peoples skills & a very miserable environment I think they need to greet customers with a smile at the very least!
