Took my elderly mother for post cataract appointment. Staff very friendly. Very patient testing my mothers eyes. Also very patient and helpful choosing frames.

Rang up needing an urgent appointment due to losing vision in my eye. They assured me they would return my call as soon as they had someone available. 7 hours later still no call back. Unable to get hold of anyone due to nobody answering the phone! For such a widely known and respected company I expected more. Certainly wouldn't refer these to anybody!

Budget specs really means budget. Last time I went to get new glasses I asked for variafocals, had to have lens,s redone as they went way out of range with a slight glance away from the front of my head. Broke the arm, of course they dont carry spare parts you have to buy an entire new frame. Sadly no more, regular independent opticians may cost a little more but I have been disappointed too manys times with Specsavers that the supposedly cheaper option has proved to be more expensive..
