I spent the better part of a decade in bed with a severe mental health issue. As part of my recovery, having learnt of the strong link between physical and mental health, I decided to invest in private personal training. Joe's offers both individual and group training sessions. The team of trainers all coach to the same high standards. There is a wide range of equipment and a conducive environment in which to train. When I started, I had chronic pain in half the joints in my body, rolled shoulders, terrible posture, and I felt frail, weak, and unconfident. When I first lifted the deadlift bar (just the bar), I couldn't stand up straight for 5 days. A year later (minus 5 months of lockdown): I can deadlift 80 kg, all my joint pain has gone, I stand up straight... so straight, in fact, that I have to be careful about banging my head on doorframes. I don't feel weak anymore, and my depression is on the run. I expected to feel stronger, but I didn't expect to find mental peace after every session. Excellent venue, skilled trainers, excellently managed, and the best decision I've ever made.

I worked with Joe for six months as I couldnt get back on track from lockdown and was suffering with a lower back issue. Joe is super friendly and knew exactly how to work with me to get me working out correctly, toning up and strengthening my back! The gym is brilliant, great range of equipment and very clean. Everyone is super friendly.

Absolutely love this place. It is a great atmosphere, the vibe is one that promotes success rather than being overly extreme. Every PT in Joe's are friendly and supportive. Can't recommend it highly enough. Ricky Raybould is superb.
