Visited 11th April at about 2.45 with my baby & 2 nieces. The sales assistant was absolutely amazing! Im so sorry I didnt catch his name & wish I asked. Couldnt do enough to help us & was super friendly & accommodating. Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome. First time visiting the store & Ill definitely be back.

Visited the store to buy some birthday gifts for my son, came out of there feeling insulted after the one sales assistant continuously implied I wouldnt be able to afford the items I had selected. She directed me twice to the sales section, then - once I got to the till - insisted she price check everything so I could be certain the total was ok. Having read some other reviews, I can see that this isnt just something I have experienced. Lovely little store with some great items, but I wont be going back based on the customer service.

I went into Newport's Smiggle shop this morning for party favours only because I didn't know Tiger was closed down, making Newport more of a wasteland. I wasn't greeted by any staff and if anything they avoid me, my partner and our child. While at the check-out the cashier's choice of words sounded like I couldn't afford the selection I had picked up, noting things weren't in the sale which I didn't know of because of the poor signage, (I've worked in shops and marketing so I know this was sub-par) also I didn't care about paying full price. She treated me like a child, calling me pet names and being too familiar. I don't know why she would think this is the right manner to talk to someone, more so because I'm pretty sure I'm older than her but I guess I just don't look like I am... I'm not going back again, thankfully for all involved but unfortunately this means I'm keeping these items. I hope that this is actually seen by someone her senior and the appropriate customer service training is finally provided to this 'lady'.
