Being purpose built, I expected this club to be bigger and better than our local club in Cardiff. The pool area is small, lack of beds means there's nowhere for people to sit and the cleaning staff constantly spraying the hosepipe makes it very difficult to relax. Sauna and steam room are actually a good size so that's a positive. The area is a bit rough and it shows, felt rather uncomfortable the whole time. The Cardiff club is in a much nicer area and you really notice it. For a "premium" health club, you expect it to be in a nicer area attracting a nicer crowd. We know a member who lives in Newport but travels to the Cardiff club instead because the members are more friendly... overall, not great
