Canolfan Gwaith Casnewydd - Newport Jobcentre

Flat out refusing to send a proof of benefits entitlement letter. They claim "they don't send them out anymore". DWP have told me to ring the job center and that they must send one out on request, yet job center are telling me they are wrong and that they do not send out letters anymore.

I have worked full time all my life, my husband died just over a year ago and I was receiving a top up from Universal Credit of around 60 a month as I had lost hubbys income. Im now in my 60s and took a part time job and I was called into the job centre to explain why. I hadnt been to a job centre in my life but the staff member I spoke to immediately put me at ease. His name was Jay and he was a fabulous member of staff. He was understanding and funny and made the experience a lot less traumatic for me.

I found newport job center very helpful, all the staff will do their upmost to accommodate your needs

Staff were very helpful with my universal credit application after coming out of prison. I received money in 2 days.
