Heather Road Fish Bar

Placed my order and waited for around 10 minutes whilst I THOUGHT they were cooking fresh chips (a common experience here - never seem to have chips ready to go) The guy came out from the back and asked if I wanted salt and vinegar but obviously hadn't pulled out any fresh chips from the fryer The chips in the bag had certainly not been freshly cooked, so a very long wait for old chips - why not just give them to me when i ordered instead of disappearing for 10 minutes - not impressed at all, I'd rather walk past this chip shop and go down to alonzis on caerleon road

In the past I have not had a problem with this place. However, yesterday I was entitled to a loyalty discount. The order was very cheap with this discount but I paid the price with the quality of the order. I wanted chicken curry and chips. I was given curry sauce and chips and not a single piece of chicken. I paid extra for cheese and salad on two burgers but had neither. I wont return again now.

Arrived almost 2 hours later after ordering food was cold and didnt even get the order correct. First time ordering and will not order again

The fish and chips iv just had from here was really lovely, thoroughly enjoyed it.
