Bryngwyn surgery used to be such a kind and lovely environment. However recently, I have had a few encounters with receptionist being rude and very unhelpful. I dont know why, they dont want to help, they dont pick up the phone which Ive seen in person at the surgery with the phone ringing and them sat down talking about random things. There is no need for a gp office to make people uncomfortable and upset with their service. I hope the management takes this into consideration and hopefully can improve their service.

The GPs are fantastic once you're permitted to speak with them. I believe the front of house staff should be further trained on patient management and how to interact with people requiring capable primary care. When a patient calls, it is because they have a genuine health problem and not because they want to take the receptionists time. Perhaps some empathy could be applied or just basic customer service, even base level manners. Whether over the phone or in person, I have experienced first hand and seen it happen to other patients everytime I've been in surgery, that they are dismissed and treated as a bother. The replies from the surgery on other patient reviews excuses this awful treatment they have received from staff, on being under pressure and over subscribed, here in lies the issue. If you are unable to cope with the work load then please employ people who are able to manage this. Not instantly spring to blame the amount of patients. The issue is clearly, unqualified staff led by bad management. Which feeds incompetence to offer a well run administration of services. It really is unfortunate because the general practitioners are great doctors.

i decided to have a Bupa checkup in January folliwng a stroke., I wanted a full MOT and didn't get it from Bryngwyn Surgery. After I attended Bupa they sent across my details and suggested follow ups including Liver blood tests. After struggling to get an appointment for three weeks I got a sane day appointment after taking a day off (i work 8-8pm weekdays) The GP and receptionist could not find the records despite my being able to confirm they were sent directly to Bryngwyn. I had three ailments to follow up on, Blood tests, ear infection and OCD handwashing leading to bloody tips on my fngers, the GP said, sorry I can only discuss 2 issues with you today, you only have ten minutes, book a routine appointment So in the GP meeting all the GP did was recommend another appointment for Blood tests (5 weeks away), recommend another appointment with a therapist for OCD (4 week wait) and another appointment for my ear infection (4 weeks away earliest routine appointment) I deliberately wanted to ease the pressure on my GP by getting private diagnosis, this is a shambles that they can't locate my records annnnnnd didn't even attempt to look The receptionist (blond) is so very cold, You enter, queue, say hello, and you are net with a blank stare. No please, no thank you's, no kind smile, no empathy reflected in the eyes. "take a mask and sit down" This person is not in the right job Considering i had to tell this person everything before they allowed me to have the appointment I have no idea why the receptionist wasted my time and hers today. She scould have booked all three pppointments on the phone with me, the GP could have seen someone else in that time. Shambles ALSO you STILL hear isit the website 4 times beofer being connected, despite the feedback to a comment from 2 months ago where the response was - I missed the cut off because of how many times the text to speech repeats visit our website at its really unnecessary, two if not one mention of the site should be enough. Please can you change this? Response from the owner Thank you for this useful feedback. We will get this changed ASAP.
