Joel has had possession of my beloved laptop, my personal property, and my 145 payment for the screen repair for months now. We have had occasional contact in that occasionally he responds to one of my emails (not my sms messages or calls, though). Joel's business address listed online does not exist - I know, I travelled to the street, and 190 literally does not exist. It is the address he listed on the invoice I paid, though, so... He most recently has claimed to suffer a T12 fracture (a quite serious injury), and that he would refund my money (not being able to procure the part from his parts distributor), and despatch the laptop by mail to me. The dates have come and gone, and he has done neither. After he has taken your money and property, his mobile number then becomes remarkably difficult to get through - often it appears not to be connected to the network. Joel is clearly technically competent, but I know stuff too, and something is simply not right in his business practices. Seriously, who puts what is essentially a made-up (fictional) address on the invoices they issue to customers? Whose business number is often off-loaded from the network? Who doesn't call back, or do anything he says he will? If he genuinely has inexplicably a T12 spinal injury, I understand that will take significant healing, but it's been *months*. I want my laptop back, and my money back. There is a paper trail, but as his invoice lists a business address that *literally does not exist*, and I bet his mobile number cannot be paper-traced to him, something must be afoot. This is not veen his day-job, though he gives that impression in his online presence - he has a day-job emplpyer, and he moonlights on-the-side as a repair technician. I know this, because he personally told me. Do not give him your device/machine, and do not give him your money unless you can be sure the identifiable contact details he has given you, will result in you tracking him down when he mosty probably never returns your hardware or money - for the present, AVOID.
