Fantastic service from Howard and a great company all around. The vehicle I have purchased has been very well looked after.

Almost bought from these on part ex but warning bells going off in my head. Howard was great and accommodating to start with. Laid back. I sorted finance and wanted a 1000 used as deposit and 1000 cash. Asked to come back (60 mile round trip) told me when I arrived I had to put all money on as deposit. I asked to take car out before buying. On test drive clutch was spongy exhaust was blowing brakes were juddering, engine shaking badly. I told them what was wrong (I'm a former mechanic). He did say mechanics would fix it but I'd lost all trust at this point. Instead of saying oh sorry to hear this lets try a different car he turned his back on me and walked away. I had to call him back to shake his hand and say thankyou. I'd read the reviews that morning and was cautious but after the driving experience I decided to walk away. Think I've saved myself alot of heartache. Word of mouth is a pretty big thing and I will be advising friends to stear clear. Well done motor plus car supermarket. Another bad review. I think you need to address your reviews.

Sales team here have been very helpful, but do not not buy from here. We were recently sold a Fiat and it has had constant problems. I have had to return it 3 times in 2 months! I was then encouraged to buy a car which had a recall on it over fire safety issues. On trying to get a refund I was told I would need to pay fees! I will be taking legal action if not sorted. Avoid!

Sold us a fiat which they said was fully checked ahead of sale, and came with a list of all the dings they had checked which included screen washers, battery, suspension and air con. Within the first four weeks of owning it, we'd taken it back to have New battery Air con regassed Rear window cleaner fixed so it washed the window and not the engine bay Worn suspension strut replaced. In addition, the car has an ongoing intermittent issue with 'check engine' appearing on the display and engine warning lights staying on for days at a time. Motor plus have tried to fix this twice. When we said we wanted to return the car after their second unsuccessful attempt to fix the engine warning lights issue after seven weeks they took 400 off us to cover depreciation and sold us a zafira for the same value as the fiat. On returning home we found the zafira had an outstanding recall on it for an issue which causes the car to catch fire. We spoke to motor plus who confirmed this and said they had no idea prior to us saying. This seems like a worrying omission for a supposed seller of quality used cars!! We have now got our money back, minus a little.over a thousand pounds for 'fair usage' over the seven weeks we owned the car - less than ideal but better than the 1700 they initially said they'd keep - there seemed very little appetite for them to reply to emails saying that was too much until we contacted trading standards when they suddenly seemed quite keen to sort things out. Sorted now, but wouldn't go back to them even if we had been given a full refund as the pre sale checks they claim to have made just don't seem to have been done.
