I originally thought I booked in for an eyebrow lamination and eyelash lift but I left with only having an eyelash lift and eyebrow tint and wax. Which was a tad confusing but maybe that was my fault for not making it clear enough. The eyelash lift was done gently and I was quite impressed with how well they lifted. I have noticed though that a few lashes have fallen out since having it done though so I am not sure if thats entirely normal. The eyebrow tint/wax, the tint is definitely not a light brown like I asked. Its more a dark brown verging on black which didnt work well with my pale complexion. I ended up bleaching them when I got home. So overall a tad disappointing for the money that was paid but the place is clean, staff seemed nice enough and good location but from my experience I will probably not be returning. I've been to the salon 3 times now. All the staff are so kind, everyone is so warm and they all have a laugh. It feels like a non judgemental space as well which is important to me. I've had two waxes with Natalie and one with Jodie. I've had lovely conversations with both. They've both done an amazing job. The only thing is, the wax really needs to be changed! The three waxes I've had have taken longer than 45 minutes as the wax doesn't get hot enough and it gets stuck in the bottles. When the wax tries to be applied it get stuck which then pulls on the hairs and it's painful. It gets the job done but the wax would be quicker if another method was used. They both manage to remove everything but the wax also leaves sticky marks all over, even after lotion. Please consider changing the wax/ ditching those bottles! I went to @28 around 6 months ago for a lash lift & tint and eyebrow wax and tint and it was great. I went for similar services today (eyelash tint, eyebrow wax and tint) requesting the same colour for my eyebrow tint - light brown as before. I even checked before my appointment if the tint had changed since my last appointment in case I needed to do another patch test, and the receptionist confirmed the tints had not changed. However my eyebrows are now jet black, not at all the colour they were last time! I have a very pale complexion and it doesn't match my hair or face at all. I explained at the time of appointment it was too dark and I was told it would fade down once I had cleaned up my eyebrows. I went home and used multiple make up wipes, toners etc to try to reduce the dye, but it was still jet black. I rang the reception and asked what could be done, and I came back in to see if it could be rectified. I was told there was nothing that could be done, and that it was the lightest brown they had and that the tints had in fact had changed since my last appointment (which may have resulted in allergic reactions as I was told I didn't need another patch test!). The whole conversation was had in the reception by the door, where I was visibly upset, in front of other employees and customers and it was very uncomfortable. I left feeling gaslighted and upset. I start a new job next week and wanted to feel confident. I don't usually post these reviews, and would not have if it had been handled quietly away from the front door.
