Torfaen Mind

This poor review is for the CARDIFF MIND OFFICE. I CALLED desperate to simply chat to someone, and the extremely rude female that answered the phone snarkily said, "That's not how this works!!!" I put down the phone with massive anxiety and disappointment. The kind woman who answered the Pontypool location was extremely kind and helpful. CARDIFF MIND SHOULD BE EVALUATED IMMEDIATELY

Completely failed to support me when I desperately needed it. I made my way here at a time when I felt hopeless, and just driving there felt like a huge challenge. I got there for my appointment and was turned away as I had my child with me. On the phone when the appointment was arranged I was not told I couldn't bring them, even though I mentioned I would be, so when I got there and was told no I completely broke down. The staff member could have at least said they couldn't discuss sensitive matters in front of children but offered me a sit down, cup of tea and a chat. The fact was my child instead witnessed me cry my heart out in the middle of the street. This experience made me feel even more hopeless and unsupported, but thankfully I got myself in a better place. I definitely won't support or recommend Mind, and hate to think how many people in more fragile states than I was are impacted by people who demonstrate no compassion, understanding or even a bit of common sense and decency.
