Cannot get anyone to answer the phone. Waited over an hour last week and gave up in the end. Tried again today and got fed up of listening to the same recorded message over and over again. I have no idea how to get in touch with someone

Have just spoken to a receptionist at the Cwmbran office and despite having to listen to a number of options to enable you to be put through to the correct area. I found the member of staff very polite and she went out of her way to sort the problem out. I felt she could not have done any more. Mrs Diana Williams.

The walk along the river between LLanyrafon and Croesyceiliog is enjoyed by many including myself. However, I am puzzled that the council deem fit on what appears to be drainage near and around the skate park, at the Llanyrafon end. I spoke to the landscaping contractor last week; he confirmed my suspicions and then advised the councils next plan is to level the area toward the railway bridge. Are they that flush with funds that they can waste this money? Does this mean no increase in council tax next year? Surely there are so many other projects that require this money. Infrastructures for the rapid increase of residential areas possibly. Then I asked the young gentleman if he was local "No Aberdare" he replied. Well! how green is that? Not to mention the efficiency lost in travelling time taken. Should we not be utilising our own contractor?
