I have never had a problem when banking money, I have been asked to use the cash machine and staff have always been very helpful if you are unsure what to do. I understand using the cash machine is helping to cut the queues down, if I need to speak to anyone on the counter service I have never had a problem, the staff in Cwmbran are more than helpful and always polite. Everything has changed since we've been in this pandemic lets not forget they need to keep safe as well as us and are doing their best.

Going in branch in Cwmbran is the most disappointing aspect of banking with Nationwide. Living in Cwmbran I would rather travel to use Cardiff or Newport. The harassment of you whilst qeueing to use the machine to pay in is over powering. We need to talk about consent Nationwide. No means no! 3 times whilst queueing and then to be told by the cashier that we have to use it is just too much. We were the only 2 people in branch. We weren't in a rush and staff were not up against it. Constant bad customer service every time visiting. I dread having to pay money in, or in fact having to do anything in branch. Major improvement is needed.

The staff here are lovely and I like the feel of it still being a bank/building society. They have moved with the times with their machines etc... but not to the point of it becoming self serve.
