Jeff came to my property to replace 3 light fittings, disconnect the doorbell from the consumer unit (CCU) and change a socket. As soon as Jeff opened up the CCU he declared the installation unsafe. This was a huge shock since an NIC registered electrician had inspected the property and declared the installation satisfactory only 1 month before I moved into the property! Whilst changing the fittings, he encountered further wiring defects. I then asked Jeff to carry out an independent inspection and to provide a quote for the remedial works required to make my home safe. I am relieved to know that, due to Jeff's thoroughness, all the awful and dangerous DIY electrical work carried out by previous owners has now been sorted.
