What a lovely little camp site, if you want peace and tranquility this is the place for you. We booked last minute and was super early arriving. Dina and Neil was busy cleaning and maintaining the site on our arrival. They stopped everything to welcome us. We could tell how busy they was and offered to come back as we was 2 hours early but Dina and Neil insisted we stayed and gave us such a warm friendly welcome. Even made us a nice cup of tea. There is only 2 bell tents and one space for a pitch up. Which makes this place ideal for a quiet stay. We had the whole campsite to ourselves which was great. The bell tent was huge more than enough space for 4 of us. The complimentary bottle of wine and fire wood was a nice touch too. The shower and toilet block was spotless with soap provided. I loved the design on the showers they had such a rustic look to them whilst being brand new. We've never stayed in a echo friendly site before but after staying here this is definitely for us!! Thank you so much Dina and Neil you are lovely people with a great little campsite

Im not a seasoned reviewer, so I hope I do this justice. I only ever review when something is extremely good, or extremely bad. And this one is extremely good! 1) Arrival: we were met on the little woodland car park by Neil and Dina who brought a large wheelbarrow so that we could take the tent things in one go, rather than do return trips to the car, such a nice touch. We were offered a hot drinkand they had hazelnut milk!! 2) Tents: we loved the bell tents. They were just perfect. We were surprised how much space we had around the tent. There was a picnic bench and fire area and even an outdoor kitchen at the luxury tent! It was perfect, cooking vegan sausages in the dark, by moonlight and torch. 3) Facilities: there is a water tap near the tent area, to prevent the walk to the facility block each time you need water. Handy! The showers are amazing. Composting toiletmy first experienceand as far as toilets go, these are luxury! Like sitting on an eco throne! Clean, rustic and everything youd want a loo to be! Sinkwashing up and brushing teeth, sorted! Play area for the kidsbonus! Sleeping next to chickens and sheep that were saved from slaughter, knowing they will never be eaten, check! Light pollution? None! Stars and satelites? Everywhere! Noise? Zero! Peacefulness and calm? In abundance! Hosts: Neil and Dina are some of the loveliest people you will meet, who are conscious about the impact we have on the planet and are inspirations to all. They are knowledgeable around eco topics, friendly, helpful, and very deserving of praise for the lovely campsite they have developed here. Location: far enough away from the world to feel remote and countryfied, yet on the doorstep of many walks, hikes, rivers, springs, fields, hills, slate quarries and a little village. Many beautiful beaches a short drive away! Just 20 minutes from a stunning valley. If towns are your style, theyre not too far either. Pembrokeshire is such a beautiful part of the world, Im sure you could return a thousand times and still see something more beautiful each time you visit. Conclusion: you need to visit! Book it, pack it, take wine, light fire, cook, walk, meditate, and then book again

Neil and Dina totally rebuilt our garden (it was just a bunch of grass before). They put in a pond, an insect hotel of their design, a raised hill, raised beds, a willow arch, planted a tonne of things and even built my shed and replaced my gate. It looks completely amazing now! They were really helpful with planning this all out, I knew I wanted something eco-firendly but had no idea where to start! They were a perfect fit for us, they worked out where the best light would be for the veg-beds and took soil samples and everything they build came from good sources and was designed to work together to avoid a ton of maintaince. It was a lot of work building all my stuff and it all came together very quickly (in quite bad weather) and both neil and dina kept me upto date about the whole thing and I'm very pleased with what I've now got. One thing I particularly wanted was to be able to get some bats living in the garden, and within days after the pond and insect hotel were in place I started noticing some turning up to scout things out. It's so much better now and feels actually like a living thing rather than just a space. I'm looking forward to see how it all grows out. And to try my hand at homegrowing some veggies!
