We stayed at the Woodlands Holiday Apartments in the beautiful Cambrian Mountains, from the 11th - 15th April 2022, and we had a really lovely and relaxing time. Mandy was a fantastic host and the property and location were just stunning. The apartment was very clean and cosy, as was the rest of the house. On arrival we had fresh milk and orange juice, a freshly home baked loaf of bread, fresh butter and little pots of jam and marmalade. Also there was a box of treats for our French Bulldog Ronnie too, including food, chewy treats and even a new bouncy ball for him. Outside in the garden behind the house is an enclosed area, perfect to sit and relax and let the dogs play, with a specially built muthut with toys, beds and treats inside. The view to the surrounding fields where the Alpacas, sheep and donkeys were made the views beautiful! Mandys attention to detail was brilliant and left us wanting for nothing throughout the stay. Having the personal Lazy Spa hot tub in a enclosed area was fantastic, in which we enjoyed time everyday unwinding in the sunshine, after some great day trips. Wed highly recommend driving the mountain road, with stunning views and stop off points throughout, all listed in the information pack in the apartment. A huge highlight for us though was the Alpaca afternoon tea experience, which Mandy also offers and was the real show stopper! Based from the cute shabby chic meadow caravan Tabitha you learn from Mandys in depth knowledge about the animals, and get to meet them up close for feeding and cuddles. The afternoon tea that followed was fantastic, all freshly prepared and delicious! If youre looking for a beautiful and peaceful location, in an amazing property with a lovely host, and plenty to see and do, for you and your dogs, then this is a place you should most definitely visit. A big thank you to Mandy for making our trip just perfect. Dan and Gemma

We went to stay at Woodlands between 28th August and 2nd September 21. Driving through the beautiful Cambrian Mountains was amazing but when we arrived at Mandy's we were completely blown away. It is a beautiful old Welsh house with the most stunning views over the rolling countryside. It literally took my breath away. There was a fabulous enclosed garden with a secluded hot tub overlooking a field of alpacas, sheep and donkeys and complete silence aside from their bleating, Joe Cocker the Cockerell's morning cockadoodledoos and the call of stunning red kites. A little piece of heaven without a doubt. Sitting in the hot tub, star-gazing and sipping a cold one was the most relaxed I've felt in a long time! We were so impressed with the hot tub that we ordered one for ourselves! Our welcome from Mandy was second to none. She is warm, bubbly, funny and extremely knowledgeable. She told us tales of her animals, the house and its history and how she came to find her calling, which is undoubtedly animals and hospitality. Freshly baked bread, eggs from the resident chickens, orange juice, butter and a doggy welcome pack with food, treats and toys awaited us in the apartment with fluffy white towels and gorgeous smelling throws giving the place a homely feel. Nothing was too much trouble for Mandy who is simply the best host I have ever met. She provides information about local places of interest which were simply mind-blowingly beautiful. Our puppy Paddywags adored her and I consider him an excellent judge of character! He cried for miles when we left. He has got sick while we were away and Mandy was absolutely brilliant. Gave us the number of a vet and physically carried him upstairs. The woman's devotion to animals is palpable. I left after 5 days feeling like I had made a friend and being absolutely determined to return. Mandy, you are one in a million and were made for this. We miss you and can't wait to come back! Much love from Jo, Boyd and Paddywags xx
